Day 3 Llandudno to Prestatyn

Llandudno to Prestatyn

'Walk 25 miles in your tiger Paul and train the British Wimbledon (my home town) semi-finalist Arthur Fery, even for you this could be deemed excessive.' This was one of countless racquet related gags I received this morning. Understandably. A fair job my eponymously named coach has done. Tomorrow it is a long march to Chester, I hope in my hometown SW19 heat, Arthur becomes King.

Anyway, today: 'I've never known it so hot' was a common theme but enough of the meteorological madness, for these North Wales beaches are ridiculous: miles and miles of sand with virtually no-one on them with broad promenades and pathways a million miles from the narrow pinching Herefordshire hawthorn hedges and kissing gates that butchered me and her last year. The warmth has been astonishing and frankly moving, after a few choice words people immediately engage with the journey and the plight. Nice country here, more than nice people. Donations have sped in and huge thanks to the preposterously generous Mr E who has guaranteed to match once we reach £10,000. Massive thanks for the magnificent (and also free - her contribution)massage from Paula, utter pro and generous one too. (www.sportsmassagewithpaula.co.uk)Terry, thanks, heartfelt ones, two years in a row you got us out of a hole. 75 miles gone ... how far did you walk today? Join...Share...Donate
