Day Twenty One: Leominster to Hereford

Update Day Twenty One

Sonflowers.

21 …again. Done. Wow, felt that 26. Marvellous hospitality from Powell and Caroline on and off course and the whole team today were exceptional. Sarah was meals on wheels: piping hot Kenyan tea and scalding paninis. As hot as her husband Graham's walking was today. Chris, Lizzie and Elaine have done 11 between them and been a necessary bedrock for me which I won’t forget.

We had to put the hammer down this afternoon, put frankly it f*%}^%* hurts. We got in just before dark. Almost beaten, however consider this: today around 70 elephants were poached, a good number of rhino too ….for what? Pangolin scales embroider Chinese wet markets and tiger teeth adorn Asian trinket stalls … why am I complaining about pain ….exactly. End in sight? Not even considering it, nor are the team but this time tomorrow it might cross my mind.

My son Joshua joined me today. And tomorrow. And showed me a clean pair for much of the day. Did it make a difference? What do you think? Thanks champ.

08.30, tomorrow. Let’s do this!
