Update Day Twenty Four
One more .....
189 styles & kissing gates (and counting). 82 Ibuprofen. 19 Blister plasters. Three pairs of shoes. At least 200 nettle stings. 120 bags of ice. 30 metres of rock tape. Three tubes of sunscreen. 62 electrolyte tablets. 400 wine gums approx. 500 Minstrels. Confirmed. 35 Babybels. 92 tea bags (Sainsburys Kenyan ... none better). 8 massages. 99 other walkers. And ..... over 1000 kms.... And .....Twenty four (24) marathons.
A slog into a headwind today along the South Coast of Wales: Jenny, yet again set a pace almost as blistering as route boss Allan. Leslie, Vicky, Mark and Simon barely broke sweat and swot Chris monstered every fiendish mind game I threw at him. Fantastic to see Simon Reeve stepping out with his family and gorgeous two dogs: they were all in rude good health and upped every facet of the day, thanks old friend, not just for today but for all your support.
Hurt today, it will hurt tomorrow, it's hurt everyday - hurts more for tigers and rhinos and elephants and more. But .... tights tomorrow ... only a maybe but .... BUT .... WE'VE GOT THIS, BRING IT ON!
