Day One: Tigerton to Carnoustie

Overriding feeling from today: one of absurdity, obvs. but also of pleasure at the joy the suit bought to many people. Some passed us, went home, found us again and donated. Extraordinary hospitality from some very lovely people who got what we are doing. A lot of online very generous donations including some saint who has said he will match when we reach £10K! More people signing up also, including an eighty-five (85) year old …. Exactly!

Good weather, good support, tough headwind. Well done Annabel for completing with barely a hair out of place. Suit is in rude good health thanks to a painstaking makeover by its creator, the incomparable Liz. Ponder on this though: my tall endangered companion has had a transformational MOT, wild animals without voices don’t have that luxury…… One down, 24 to complete, what could go wrong … .Game On!
