Day 34

Exmouth to Moretonhampstead

Devon Creamed.

After yet another Amazonian masterclass yesterday from Kara, Jenny and Roxy it was the turn of Andy and Lewes to lead a smoking trail from Exmouth inland, seen off by the mayor, along excruciating trails , many killing tarmac ones. Paths were closed, overgrown and non-existent but Lewes' calmness was personified, despite the extra miles, as was I.... Andy's endless bonhomie was an elixir you can't buy, thanks fellas.

One thing: it's a tiger ... today it has been called a horse, lion (multiple times), jaguar, leopard, teddy and Ewok. Ofsted and grades count for nothing if this is the level. Talking of levels, the refreshments were class today, thanks Andy for the Scotch eggs with well matured nonsense to accompany. Ru's wife's sandwiches would knock the crap out of any flaky Pret or Nero and his support driving today was critical. Hope you like the new video, I hope Simon Reeve was right, but ... it's still a long way off.

826 miles completed. 174 remaining. How far did you walk today?
