Day 31

Weymouth to Bridport

Wey to go

My troublesome and struggling prose tonight gets sub-edited by the greatest African writer since Hemingway, the venerable Brian Jackman ( also my host...), so any complaints, the blame has a face. Today the back-up team of trail manager Elaine and 2Legs benefactor Eddie was on an even higher gastronomic plate than perhaps even Gillian's Scotch eggs, Lindsey's tablecloth, Jules's urban picnic etc. After his heroics yesterday young Daniel could only manage a few hours with his dad Terry but every mile helps.
Among many gifts last year, Ed contributed the fabled tea urn which someone broke, obviously he bought another today as well as emptying several bakeries and delis. His wife Danny was frankly a machine and ate up the sumptuous Dorset trails past the Bill and Pill boxes all along the seemingly unending shimmering Chesil.
Hot and strong westerlies and shingles to contend with ... ouch. Got my breakfast order in at least this morning, had to leave before it arrived, but that's progress.

761 miles completed. 239 remaining. How far did you walk today?
