Day 22

Greenhithe to Greenwich Pier

Hall of shame first, simple: the masseur last night who cried off with no notice (flake), then the two 'walkers' who had registered (the easy bit) and didn't show and couldn't be bothered to let the team know (even bigger flakes). Anyway enough of this unspeakably poor form, there were plenty of heroes today, namely Giles who led me through the Riviera paradise trinity of Crayford, Erith and Dartford. Eight hours of putting the world to right (we agreed about twice) before reinforcements arrived with Toni and Stewart, Jackie, Barry & Rachel.
We walked into the city as the suits were being disgorged from their financial fleshpots to a backdrop of a thumping beat from a huge rave, (I was invited, but declined) which dominated the square mile more than the tiger had, but that changes tomorrow. Big thanks to Cathy and Kenneth for surrendering their not inconsiderable Georgian pile and equally considerable dinner, commitment to the cause: priceless.

London Marathon tomorrow, good sized team, capital punishment.

550 miles completed, 450 miles remaining. How far did you walk today?
