Day 15
Whitwell to Brundall via Norwich
Local knowledge always critical: the change to the morning meant a decent clip along a disused railway track for 22km before gliding into what used to be England's second city. 'Come on let's be having you' could not have been more pertinent as thousands came out to pay homage to what many had seen on TV the previous night. Big nods to Rob x 2, Dawn (mk3) and Nick, who's humour and pimping of our charity i.d. cards was omnipresent. Sara, thank you: a lasagne big enough for twelve, fortunately for far fewer.
Duckworths - the ridiculously generous lot who gave me a state of the arts van for three weeks free of charge, have a new dealership in town and the boss was in - Ben, you are a saint, lovely to meet you and your team. I won't forget this generosity.
Lastly, there is an obscenely talented designer who lives outside Norwich, she made the suit in 2009. She has given it many MOT's since, I sincerely hope we bump into her as the old girl has taken an East Anglian pounding and might need some stripes fixed. Thanks Liz and thank you Donna for keeping this alive online. Eye of the tiger.... yes, but no I in team.
375 miles completed, 625 remaining. How far did you walk today?
