Burnham Market to Sheringham
Norfolk, Admiral Horatio county, thankfully a flat county and today a cool one - for the first time. The North coast here is made for walkers, throw in the flint and red-roofed towns of Wells, Blakeney and Sheringham and you have a day straight from the Country Life calendar.
Top team today, a decent number too, four locals (Rob, Nick, Heidi & Paula) who seemed to know every stone and style bordering the North Sea. The support from holidaymakers and coastal residents was overwhelming. Walking on sand dunes sounds dreamy, it is anything but and the blister plasters were in big demand.
Around 360 miles completed. Someone remarked topically on the donations page (the page that matters) that 'this was the Odyssey that we should all be following this summer', maybe tongue in cheek, maybe not, but underwritten by a very generous figure.
